{"id":303,"date":"2025-05-13T19:39:12","date_gmt":"2025-05-13T18:39:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.birdingblog.co.uk\/?p=303"},"modified":"2025-05-13T13:43:54","modified_gmt":"2025-05-13T12:43:54","slug":"1st-swallows-of-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.birdingblog.co.uk\/index.php\/2025\/05\/13\/1st-swallows-of-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"1st Swallows of 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Swallows arrived in Woolwell very early this year &#8211; on Friday 28th March!<\/p>\n<p>The weather had been warm, dry and sunny for a couple of weeks which must have attracted them over to the country.&nbsp; It is unusually early though, as they usually arrive in the local area during April.<\/p>\n<p>I spotted the Swallows whilst out painting the fence in our back garden and heard the unmistakable chirp of them flying overhead.&nbsp; After stopping to look, I finally spotted two of them carrying out acrobatic manoeuvres in the sky over our house &#8211; it was great.&nbsp; I look forward to seeing, and hearing, my first Swallows of the year as it means Spring has come and Summer won&#8217;t be too far away!<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Swallows arrived in Woolwell very early this year &#8211; on Friday 28th March!
